ANA-MPA radio to premiere on Aug. 31
The radio of Athens and Macedonian News Agency (ANA-MPA) will be launched on Monday August, 31, at 06.00. The radio "Praktorio 104.9" will transmit on the frequency 104.9 of TIF-Helexpo, Thessaloniki.
The radio will have the full support of ANA-MPA, the national news agency of Greece, with 250 professional journalists from Greece and abroad. The agency celebrates its 110th anniversary this year and it is Greece's main information source as 90 percent of its news is disseminated on the internet.
Noted artist Yiannis Markopoulos is the composer of the theme music of ANA-MPA radio.
Initially, the radio will cover the city of Thessaloniki and the area of Central Macedonia.
At an event held on Wednesday in Thessaloniki, ANA-MPA president and general director Michalis Psilos said: «We want to create a radio of nationwide coverage based in Thessaloniki to tell the news "as it is"."
