Greek-listed companies' net profits up 423.7 pct in H1‏
Greek-listed companies reported a significant increase in operating profits in the first half of 2015 to 3.774 billion euros, up 21.2 pct compared with the same period last year, while net profits soared 423.7 pct to 540 million euros, BETA Securities said on Wednesday.

In a report, based on an analysis of the balance sheets of 198 listed enterprises, BETA Securities said that turnover fell 2.3 pct to 31.486 billion euros. The analysis did not include bank results. From the total 198 listed companies, 84 were profitable and 114 were loss-making. From the profitable companies, 35 reported higher profits, 27 lower earnings and 22 returned to profits from losses in 2014. From the 114 loss-making companies, 44 reported higher losses, 52 lower losses and 18 returned to losses from profits.

Motor Oil (record-high profits), OPAP, Folli Follie, Hellenic Petroleum, Mytilineos, Coca Cola HBC, OTE, PPC, Piraeus Port, Grivalia Properties, Titan, Elval, Athens Water, Sarantis and Karelias recorded the biggest profits.
