Stability Pact provides for special flexibility in case of emergency, EU Parliament head Schulz tells ANA-MPA

Asked on the role of Turkey, he said that it needs to be recognised as a secure country of origin. Referring to the USA, he said that they can accept more refugees than they intend to do.
Schulz said he is not optimistic that the refugee crisis will be solved soon, but he believes that the refugees will be gradually incorporated and the relevant procedures will be accelerated.
Asked if Greece's agreement with the creditors should be connected with the issue of refugees, he said he would not recommend that. "The first one is a Greek issue, which needs to be solved within the eurozone, and the other one is not a Greek issue, it is a European problem that has occurred in Greece."
